About South Korea Guide
South Korea Guide is an independent travel resource for people planning a trip to South Korea, written mainly for travelers coming from the United States. We cover the practical side: flights, entry rules, when to go, how to get around, what things cost, and where to spend your days.
How we research
Every guide is built from primary sources: the Korea Tourism Organization, Korail, city tourism offices, national park and heritage authorities, airport operators, airlines, and the US Embassy in Seoul. Each article lists the sources it relied on at the bottom of the page, and every guide carries the date it was last updated.
We do not invent businesses, ratings or quotes. If we cannot confirm a price or a rule, we leave it out or tell you to check the official source. Prices are shown in Korean won with an approximate US dollar conversion at the rate stated on the page.
Editorial independence
Some pages may in future carry affiliate links or advertising. Recommendations are never sold, and commissions never change what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure.
